SEWed Up!...Pin Cushions and Great Photography

I purchased a bag of vintage hankies. I just HAD to have them! I knew I could do something with them, but didn't know what. Then, "eureka" - how about pin cushions? Yeah, pin cushions!

More importantly, my daughter took the photo. She is a budding photographer/graphic artist at 15 years old! She set-up the whole display. I have a table near my desk area of books and stationary. I love how she made the photo 'vintage-looking' and added something special for mom on the bottom left!

So, this post is 'kudos' for my daughter, Alexis. Good job!

SEWed Up!...with Cute Purses

OK. I'm on a bag, purse and tote kick now for upcoming Spring. Women can never have enough bags and accessories. Right?

I had just enough fabric to make these two cute purses. If you like, they are for sale on my Etsy shop. And, I'm currently working on more!

Can You Spare Some Change?...

I could! I needed to change my medium in creating. Thought I'd work on a quick knitting project. I found this pattern on Joann.com. What a great thing to make is this knitting cup holder. I used scrap yarn and made everyone's favorite three colors as a tri-color and one solid color favorite. The one displayed is my husband's tri-color holder.

Me and my family have millions of pens, pencils, scissors, crayons, and knitting/crocheting needles that need an organized home. And besides, we also have the empty soup cans. Great way to help the environment and have eye-catching storage on display!
