This is a wonderful week! One of my closest friends whom I've known for more than 25 years has come to visit me! This is a BIG deal! You see, my friend DOES NOT like to fly! So, when she promised to come and see me this week (via an airplane), I was ready to forgive her if it did not happen. And, to much surprise and gratefulness, she made it here! We're having a blast!
My Junk Love this week is fabric! You can never have too much fabric! Right?!
gingham
other vintage fabrics
Included in this bag of fabrics were several pieces of a vintage quilt with names hand sewn on them.
I have no idea what I will do with these pieces, but I thought they were very cool! Maybe, I can incorporate them into another quilt? Here's a close-up of one of the pieces.
Well, I have one more full day of hanging out with my friend, before she's off to the airport on Friday morn to return home! We're going fabric shopping and I'm sewing some pretty headbands for her!
I'm grateful to have a friendship that has lasted many years! Until next time...
Peace and Junk Love!

Good morning Stacy! How cool that your friend moved past her fear of flying to come see you. That is well-worth a deserved fabric shopping trip *smiles*
LOVE those quilt pieces that you found with names on them. That is REALLY special!
Good Morning, I can relate to your friend coming to visit. That's a big deal given she doesn't like to fly--give me hope for my hold our friends :). Love your blog and thanks for inspiring me to to keep on Thrifting!! Your finds are amazing. Those quilt pieces are a great find--finally they'll get a home.
